Pricing and Booking Questions
Money and timing cause the most confusion on any trade call, so these six cover them first.
Call (07) 3067 4271How is the price of a drain job worked out?
Pipe length, how deep the line sits, what caused the trouble and whether a camera look is worthwhile all shape the figure. You agree a fixed upfront price before any tool comes out, so there's no hourly meter running.
When and how do I pay?
Payment happens once the work is done and you've seen the line running free again. Pay by card or EFTPOS on the day, and the figure matches the price you agreed beforehand.
How quickly can a plumber get here?
Ring early and we can usually be there the same day, though we'll never promise a time we can't keep. Describe the symptoms when you call and the right gear turns up with the plumber.
What should I have ready when I ring?
Know which fixtures are slow, when the trouble started and whether more than one drain is acting up. If you know where your tank and trench sit, that helps too, because every property here treats its own waste on site.
Will I get the figure in writing?
Yes: the fixed price is agreed before work begins, and it covers the job we described, not an open-ended hourly account. If the camera shows something unexpected, you hear it from us and approve any change first.
How do I book a visit?
Ring (07) 3067 4271 and describe what's happening, or use the contact page to leave the details. Either way we can usually be there the same day, and mornings give the best chance of it.
Services and Local Questions
The second half deals with what we actually do, and why this patch of ground makes drain work a little different.
Call (07) 3067 4271Which drain jobs do you cover?
Blocked toilets, sewer and stormwater lines, drain cleaning for slow sinks and showers, camera inspections and pipe repairs, including relining where it suits. The services page links each one, so you can match your symptom to the right call.
When is a clean enough, and when does the pipe need mending?
A one-off blockage usually just needs clearing with jet blasting or an electric eel. If a cleared line chokes again soon after, or a camera shows cracked, root-filled joints, the pipe itself is faulty and repair or relining comes onto the table.
Why does septic ground change the way drains are cleared?
With no Unitywater mains through the district, a clear only helps if the tank and trench can still take the flow. Grease that would merely slow a town sewer instead packs around an outlet filter, so the tank side gets checked every visit.
Does summer rain make drains worse here?
It does. Average rainfall sits around 1306mm a year on the census figures, and long wet spells soak the alluvial ground until absorption trenches lose capacity, which is when sewage starts backing towards the lowest outlet in the house.
Are you actually a local business?
Locally owned and operated, and not a franchise, with the district on our regular run. A current QBCC plumbing and drainage licence covers every drain job, and the about page explains how the whole thing works.
Which nearby suburbs do you service?
The run takes in Beerburrum, Donnybrook, Toorbul, Caboolture and Wamuran, each with its own page describing the ground and the pipes out that way. Creekside acreage between them gets the same treatment as any town block.
